Meet Colt....

Colt is the newest member of our family. He is almost 3 months old and full of piss and vinegar!

The 1st day he was here, Butch wanted absolutely nothing to do with the puppy. He ignored him. After a few days, they are finally starting to get along. Butch seems to like having him around to play with and Butch is not afraid to let the pup know who the boss dog is. I think that it's safe to say, they are now friends!

Riley Jo's Haircut

Riley decided that she wanted bangs again and short hair. I kept putting it off because I love her hair and didn't want to cut it. The other day, I walked in her room and she had her head buried in her hands and was upset. When I asked her what was wrong, she looked up at me and had a comb tangled in her hair. She said she tried to curl it!! Needless to say, the girl got bangs!! I'm getting used to the short hair...it looks cute :)

Dustin's School Play

Dustin had his school play the other night, and instead of a traditional Christmas play, the kids choose to do a play about famous composers. Dustin was a student in the play that likes rap music. He had 2 speaking lines, and he did great!

The battery in my good camera was dead, so I had to use my little camera with minimal zoom, so the color is awful, but at least you get the idea!

Tree Hunting

The kids had so much fun picking out our Christmas tree last year, that we headed up in the hills again this year, to find a Christmas tree. The weather was nice and warm, but there was still a lot of snow up there! Here's Dustin shaking the snow off of the tree they picked!

I haven't gotten a picture of the tree inside and all decorated yet....coming soon!

Chance & Blake come to visit

We had a couple of visitors last weekend. A friend of ours was in town for a high school basketball tournament, so of course we offered to take her 2 youngest off of her hands for the weekend. We all had a great time. It was like old times. In no time at all, the boys had a nerf gun zone set up, and the girls were so quiet and peaceful!

I put my pictures in backwards. This picture was taken late on the 2nd night....Chance and Matt were playing the Wii, Dustin was playing a game on the phone, and the girls were really involved in a game of Old Maid!

Chance's turn. Blake couldn't let a blackmail opportunity pass, so she captured the whole wedgie incident on camera :-)

After about an hour of pestering Matt and practically begging Matt to attack them, Matt grabs a nerf gun, and the boys run and hide!!

The National Christmas Tree Comes to Cody...

This year the National Christmas Tree that is put up on the White House lawn, came from Wyoming. The tree and the convoy that was with it, came through Cody on Sunday. Of course, being a small town, it was a BIG deal.....

I have come to the conclusion that no matter what is going on in town, there is ALWAYS a mounted posse. Seriously...what do horses and cowboys have to do with a tree?!?

The banner on the side of the trailer is signed by hundreds of people! I'm thinking that the tree is going to every town in the state!

I thought it was funny that the tree had "secret service guys"! Not really...but there was about 6 U.S. Forest guys with ear pieces and sunglasses. Don't know why I found that so comical, but I did! There was one very serious looking guy that took his job very serious, that I wanted to get a picture of, but I was afraid that he might confiscate my camera!! haha

We didn't get to see the whole tree because it was inside a trailer, but there was a small window at the back where you could see a few branches. They already had a few lights on the part that we could see!

The kids thought that this was a pretty neat experience. In school they made ornaments that will be put on the tree once it gets to the White House. They also signed the banner that was on the side of the trailer...
