Rainy day fun

Dustin had one of his friends over the other weekend, and even the cold and rain couldn't keep these two boys inside!

Zain is Dustin's new best friend and the 2 boys get along great. Zain rides steers in the Cody Night Rodeo and now Dustin is convinced that he needs to give it a try! The rodeo just started last night and Matt is busy AI'ing for the next week, but when Matt is done, he will take Dusty in and let him give it a try! So stay tuned for updates and pictures hopefully!

Until the rodeo starts, they'll just have to make do with Matt as the steer!

Even Riley Jo had to get in on some of the evenings events!

Future Super Star

Riley Jo had a friend over the other night and she informed me that when she grows up, she wants to be a super star! She even has a "super star walk"! It is too darn cute!

When Matt saw the pic above, he informed me that he's gonna need more guns!!! She is definitely outgrowing her little girl stage!

Like Father Like Son

I'm putting it on the record now that I think when Dusty grows up, he's going to be a mechanic and/or farmer. This boy LOVES tearing things apart just so he can put them back together! Working on or driving a tractor, pickup or any piece of equipment, just puts him on cloud 9!

She's a Brownie!!!

This year Riley Jo graduated from Daisy's to Brownie's in Girl Scouts. She is sooo excited that now she is in the older girl troop and they will be able to do more then just art and craft projects!

Time for a new bed

Colt has grown so fast and so much, he is now taller then Butch and has officially outgrown his puppy bed. I better get on the ball and get a bigger one! Matt seems to be pretty impressed with the pup so far. He gets to tag along on short rides and does good. Seems to be a good traveler. He wants to get the cows, but Matt won't let him yet.

Easter

We had to dye eggs twice this year thanks to my clumsiness. The day after they died their eggs, I knocked Riley Jo's basket off the counter. Of course she had all of her eggs in there!

On Easter Day we headed over to spend the afternoon with some friends. We really enjoyed the day. Had a nice dinner and time with friends. The kids got to go on a hay ride when it came time to feed the cows.

After the cows were fed, we headed back to the yard for an egg hunt. Somehow I managed to get ZERO pictures of that ordeal?!? It was over before I even realized it had started!! Those were some fast kids! lol

Spring Snow

We got a few inches of snow this weekend, and I know I can't really complain because we have had a really mild winter and spring so far, but I am SO ready for some warm weather to stick around!! Dustin enjoyed the wet snow because he could make really good roads through it!

The kids made massive snow balls. They didn't want to make a snowman...just wanted to see how big of a snowball they could make!

Making big snowballs is hard work ;-)
